About this studio

The Balcony Club is a downtown Boise nightclub open Wednesday through Sunday, 4:00pm to 2:00am. Located at 150 N 8th St Suite 226 on the second floor of Capital Terrace (entrance on 8th Street, top of escalators), it sits centrally between Idaho and Main streets.

The venue hosts regular dance nights and events featuring house DJs who play a wide range of music. The club runs Stomp and Slay line dancing events with social hour at 7pm and dance instruction at 8pm, followed by dancing to requested songs. Queer-oke nights happen Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 9:30pm–2:00am, hosted by KJs Benji and Jen, with a monthly Early-Oke event on the first Thursday of each month from 6:00pm–9:30pm.

Themed dance parties rotate regularly through the calendar. Past and upcoming events include Gods & Goddesses Dance Party, Kink Night (with monthly themes like Ropes and Restraints or Boots), and one-off performances featuring burlesque, drag, aerial and other performance art. The venue also hosts comedy events like Lectures by Lushes (described as Ted Talks meets Drunk History) and performance art shows.

The bar offers a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Bartenders mix cocktails with liquor, spirits, non-alcoholic beer, spritzers, and CBD drinks. The club has been voted Boise Weekly's Best. Everyone over 21 is welcome.
