JUMP—Jack's Urban Meeting Place—is a nonprofit interactive creative center and community gathering place located at 1000 W Myrtle St in downtown Boise. Built on the vision of J.R. Simplot, the space combines five dedicated studios (INSPIRE, MAKE, MOVE, PLAY, SHARE) with a 3-acre public park, event spaces, and an exploratory museum of vintage tractors and farm equipment dating back to 1885.
The MOVE studio is the dance and movement hub. Classes and workshops span ballet, modern fusion dance, hip hop (including kids' hip hop), African inspired dance, flow arts, and movement for midlife wellness. Recent offerings include Ballet + Modern Fusion Dance workshops, Intro to Hip Hop, Spin Jams (a weekly flow arts gathering), and Pound + Glow classes. The studio also hosts specialized sessions like Midlife Movement for Women and Menopause: Understanding Your Changing Body.
Beyond dance, JUMP operates as a full creative ecosystem. The PLAY studio offers filmmaking through the Dreamweaver Film Collective (with labs in art department, screenwriting, and production). The MAKE studio provides tools and a 3D printer for prototyping; the SHARE studio features an industrial-grade kitchen for culinary exploration. The INSPIRE studio is designed for brainstorming and collaboration. The site includes elegant event spaces for galas, fundraisers, and concerts, plus a 3-acre park with an outdoor amphitheater, sweeping terraces, meeting areas, play structures, and notably a five-story slide.
JUMP runs extensive free community programming including tractor tours, building tours, open studios drop-ins, language exchanges, and signature events like First Thursdays (August First Thursday, with the INSPIRE Speaker Series), StoryCorps, and seasonal festivals. Programs are described as welcoming for ages 10–110. The building is owned and funded by the J R Simplot Foundation.

Studio history
JUMP was built on the vision of J.R. (Jack) Simplot, a pioneer and visionary in agriculture who passed away in 2008 and left behind a collection of over 110 vintage tractors. Rather than create a traditional museum, the Simplot Foundation developed JUMP as a lively community space that displays these tractors as works of human ingenuity alongside five creative studios and shared event spaces, creating what the organization describes as a vibrant imaginative ecosystem.
