The Ballroom Lab is a private dance studio in Greenville teaching Ballroom, Latin, Smooth and Rhythm styles. Founded by Crystal Chang, who moved to Greenville in October 2010, the studio focuses on personal growth and discovery through dance. Crystal was classically trained in ballet and launched her professional career in 2002 with a worldwide franchise in the Washington, D.C. area before relocating to Greenville.
Crystal brings significant competitive and teaching credentials to the studio. She holds multiple Top Teacher awards and was named a National Dance Council of America (NDCA) Open Professional Rising Star American Rhythm Finalist in 2014. She teaches both novice and advanced dancers and continues her own education to stay current in the field.
The studio operates on an appointment-only basis for private lessons. Lab hours are Monday through Thursday 1 pm to 8 pm, Friday 2 pm to 6 pm, and Saturday 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The studio also offers group labs, though specific schedules and class names are available through direct contact.
The Ballroom Lab's teaching philosophy emphasises personal and internal growth alongside technical skill.
