About this studio
Tropik'Lille is an association dedicated to promoting Latin and Afro-Caribbean culture through dance, music, classes, workshops, and regular social events across Lille. The studio teaches salsa (Cuban style), bachata, kizomba, afro, reggaeton, lady styling, and Latin street jazz — whether you want to dance solo or in couples, at beginner level or beyond.
Weekly classes run in all these styles. The association also organises four major monthly social events: City Dance (a full day of classes and a three-room party held one Saturday per month from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m., attracting over 500 dancers per edition and featuring regional, French and international artists); Tropical Dance (bachata and kizomba classes followed by social dancing every Friday from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. at Studio Nord); Dance in Lille (outdoor and pop-up events including the Braderie de Lille and summer street dances on the Grand Place); and Social Dance Lille (every Sunday, with different styles rotating — Kizz, kids' sessions, bachata, and Cuban salsa).
Tropik'Kids brings children in monthly (the second Sunday of each month during Social Dance sessions) for workshops in salsa, bachata, afro and reggaeton plus music. The association also offers choreography for weddings, opening dances, and other celebrations, plus stages and specialist workshops.
Vestiaire (cloakroom), bar and snack facilities are available at venue events. The association runs two branded boutiques: Boutique Tropik'Lille and Boutique Tropik'Ladies. You can find class schedules, event details and videos on their YouTube channel.

Your first visit
Tropik'Lille welcomes dancers at any level — whether you're a complete beginner or already passionate about afro-latino dance. You can come solo or as a couple. Weekly classes teach the fundamentals, and regular social events let you practise and dance in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
