The venue's grand architecture reflects the vibrance and ambition of the Ensley community at its peak, with buildings constructed in beaux arts warehouse style that showcase the craftsmanship of their era.
The venue hosts a wide range of events: wedding ceremonies and receptions, birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, engagement parties, anniversary celebrations, retirement parties, special dinner events, fraternity and sorority events, ministry events, conferences, Mother's Day celebrations, special brunch events, lunch and learn events, holiday parties, and custom events. The layout is flexible and can be arranged for banquet style, theatre seating, or cocktail-style configurations depending on your guest count and event type.
Tables and chairs are provided as part of the rental at no additional cost. You can bring your own caterer, food vendor or food truck (all must be properly licensed), and you can bring your own licensed bartender or bar service. The Ensley Entertainment District can provide recommendations for trusted vendors including caterers, bartenders, DJs and decorators, but you are not required to use their preferred vendors. Adequate parking is available for guests. Security may be required depending on the type and size of event; this is discussed during booking.
To reserve your date, a deposit is required. For events 30 days or more away, a 50% deposit is needed; for events less than 30 days away, the full rental amount is required. Your date is not officially reserved until payment is received and the rental agreement is signed. Tours of the space are available and encouraged—call or text to arrange one.

The Tuxedo Ballroom is part of the Ensley Entertainment District, a cluster of restored historic buildings in Ensley, Alabama. Ensley was founded in 1887 by industrialist Enoch Ensley and became a self-contained industrial empire anchored by the Ensley Works of Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad Company (TCI), the largest steel plant in the South. The venue's grand architecture stands as a testament to the vibrance and ambition of the Ensley community at its peak, and is now part of a larger revival of these historic industrial landmarks.
