VR Dance World- Dance with Shan & Raaj

VR Dance World is a Latin and ballroom dance studio in The Greens, Dubai, run by Shan and Raaj, two internationally acclaimed dancers and coaches. They bring over a decade of professional experience in competitive dancesport and have trained with world champions. The studio is one of the few in the UAE certified by a WDSF-affiliated body to teach competitive Latin dance, trained to Russian standards in Dancesport Latin.

Shan and Raaj have significant international credentials. They achieved a fourth-place finish at The King's Cup in Bangkok, a prestigious World DanceSport Federation event, and have competed at major international DanceSport competitions across Europe. They also trained leading actors for the BBC series A Suitable Boy in tango and fusion choreography, and have worked with major production houses including Yashraj Films and Netflix. They are TEDx speakers and have worked with the Argentine Consulate.

The studio teaches Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, and Paso Doble. They offer private one-to-one lessons, group classes for adults and kids, wedding dance preparation, and corporate programmes. Private lessons are tailored to individual goals—confidence, competition, technique, or fitness. Group classes include partner rotation and are structured by level: beginner (weight transfer, musicality, footwork), intermediate (syncopation, complex routines, styling), and advanced (improvisation, musical interpretation). Most group sessions include two instructors. The studio also runs workshops, such as their Merengue Crash Session (a 2-hour course for beginners and intermediate dancers), and facilitates social salsa nights.
