Overview

German national dancesport federation, founded 1921, with roughly 200,000 members in about 2,000 clubs and some 25,000 competitive dancers. It is the German Spitzenfachverband for dancesport, a member of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and a full WDSF member since 7 July 2006. Its Turnier- und Sportordnung sets the Standard and Latin competition dances; it also governs formation dancing, breaking and a range of specialist disciplines.
