Henry Link

Henry McMillan, known in dance as Link, grew up in Brooklyn and first developed his practice by watching an older sister and pursuing the locking, popping, freestyle and breaking vocabularies that surrounded him. He practiced intensively and entered local talent shows before meeting Rosie Perez at about eighteen, a meeting that opened his professional career in dance and choreography. His early work connected him to music-video productions involving Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey.

Link was part of the original Mop Top group, which Buddha Stretch dates to 1991, alongside Caleaf, Ejoe and Stretch. Elite Force Crew followed in 1992, taking shape on the set of Michael Jackson's "Remember the Time." The crew's name reflects the dancers' formation and collective drive on that production. His place in both groups ties his career to a crucial bridge between New York club and street practices, commercial music-video choreography, and freestyle performance.

Elite Force's philosophy emphasized synchronized musical detail and individual freestyle as complementary values. The crew credited Emilio "Buddha Stretch" Austin Jr. for the choreography that shaped its tight ensemble delivery, while Link and Jamel "Loose Joint" Brown were central to the group's overall vision. This collaborative framing matters: Link's story is inseparable from a crew ecology rather than a lone-inventor narrative.

Over the following decades, Link's work circulated internationally through judging, demonstrations and teaching. Elite Force's media archive documents appearances at Juste Debout, Styles Crash, Rio Hip Hop Kemp and other battle platforms, while the dance-event archive 5,6,7 and8 records later workshops and judging engagements in Europe and the United States. In February 2026, Peridance Center in New York presented him for an intermediate/advanced hip-hop guest class, showing the continuing pedagogical dimension of his practice.
