About the author
Ned Wayburn (1874–1942) was an American dance director and choreographer who became one of the most prolific and influential figures in early twentieth-century musical theatre. He directed and choreographed for the Ziegfeld Follies, founded the Ned Wayburn Studios of Stage Dancing, and trained generations of Broadway dancers. He was known for systematizing dance pedagogy and for adapting acrobatic and athletic movement into theatrical contexts.
