About this studio
Amigos del Tango is a boutique school of authentic Argentine Tango in Vienna, teaching the three dances of the Argentine Tango tradition: Tango, Tango Vals, and Milonga. The studio welcomes absolute beginners as well as experienced dancers in an international atmosphere, and no partner is required to start. Classes are designed to build confidence from your first walk to your first milonga.
Teacher Alexandra Bobrova brings more than 20 years of experience in Argentine Tango. She is an experienced dancer and teacher who confidently teaches in both leader and follower roles, giving students a unique and complete perspective on the dance. Alexandra founded one of the first Argentine tango schools in Kyiv, Ukraine, and has performed in the legendary tango musical "Law of Tango", collaborated with the Ukrainian tango orchestra Kyiv Tango Project, and appeared in tango scenes of the TV series "Eclipse".
The weekly schedule includes a Basic Course running for 3.5 months (Monday and Thursday evenings), Beginners classes for those with 3+ months experience, Intermediate classes for dancers with around 1 year or more of study, and a Special Workshop on Saturday for all levels. Beyond classes, the studio hosts Amigos practilonga on Saturday afternoons—a dedicated practice session to improve your tango skills and connect with the local tango community—and Milonga del Vino on Saturday evenings, focused on musicality, attentive dancing, and refined floorcraft.
Private lessons are available for a more personalized experience, and the studio offers choreography and special pricing for wedding dances and other events. Trial lessons cost €10, and group classes range from €20 per lesson to €90 for a 4-lesson block (Basic Course). An Abo combining the 3.5-month Basic Course with practilongas costs €450. The studio accepts payment by bank transfer.
