Angela Floyd Schools has been serving East Tennessee families since 1997, founded by Angela Floyd, whose career spans classical ballet, majorette performance at UT's Pride of the Southland Band, and choreography featured at Neyland Stadium and on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Over 9,700 students have trained at the two locations across West and North Knoxville.

The school teaches dance across all ages from preschool to adult. Classes include classical ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical/contemporary, and acrobatics. Competitive training is available through the Angela Floyd Dance Company. A specialised programme called Arts for the Amazing serves students with additional needs. The AFS Rising Stars Preschool Performing Arts Program for ages 3–5 combines academics, dance, music, art, acrobatics, and French language instruction, meeting 3 days a week at the West location or 2 days at the North location.

Music instruction covers private lessons in piano, keyboard, guitar (electric and acoustic), bass, voice, drums, violin, viola, cello, ukulele, banjo, saxophone, flute, and clarinet. Music FunTime introduces younger children to musical concepts. All staff are trained, certified, and background-checked, with CPR certification required. The school holds Safer Studio™ and Youth Protection Advocates in Dance® certifications.

Both studios feature professional ballet barres, wall-to-wall mirrors, and Stage Step floating Marley dance floors. Each location has private dressing areas with enclosed restrooms, five music rooms, an 85-inch closed-circuit viewing monitor for parents and siblings, a glass-front waiting area with seating, and a complimentary coffee/tea bar. The North location's 5,000-square-foot facility is available for rent to community groups. The school year runs August through May, with year-round options available.

New students can try classes with a Love It Guarantee: enrol for 30 days, and if you're not satisfied, receive 100% tuition refund with no questions asked. The school offers a $60 annual registration fee for dance classes and $60 for music lessons. Family discounts are available.

Classes run across all age groups in professionally equipped studios with mirrors, barres, and sprung flooring. Parents can observe live via viewing monitors. Staff are certified and trained in child safety. Preschool classes introduce rhythm and movement; older students train in ballet technique, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and acrobatics.

The school employs over 20 named dance and music instructors. Dance faculty teach ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, acrobatics, and lyrical styles; many hold roles in the Angela Floyd Dance Company or teach the Arts for the Amazing programme. Music instructors offer lessons across piano, voice, guitar, strings, drums, woodwinds, and brass. Founder Angela Floyd brings professional credits including performances with The Knoxville Ballet Company, choreography for Grammy Award winners The Impressions, and work with major television productions.

Classes are structured by age and level from preschool through adult, with beginner-level instruction in all styles.
