About this studio
Bailemos Dance Studio operates two locations in the Boston area: Quincy (1515 Hancock Street, Unit 301) and Waltham (60 Prospect Street). The studio was founded in 2020 by Hongquan Pan, a dancer and instructor who studied ballroom and Latin dance forms for more than 10 years and received over 20 awards in dance competitions during 2004–2012. Pan graduated from Salem State University with a Dance major and Management minor, and trained with the MIT Ballroom dance team and Repertory Dance Theatre during her college years. She is certified to teach all five styles of dancing: International Ballroom, Latin, American Smooth, Rhythm and Social dance (Salsa/Bachata).
Bailemos currently has over 200 students and has produced numerous outstanding dance competitors. The studio's mission is to create and promote a new type of dance education, educating anyone who wishes to learn dance with full honesty and support, while developing independence, self-control, creativity, and dance language proficiency.
At Quincy, kids and teens can take classes in Latin Dance, Ballroom Dance, K-pop, Hip-hop, and Ballet. The Waltham location offers the same range for kids and teens, plus adult classes. Adult programming includes Latin, Ballroom, K-pop, Hip-hop, Ballet, Jazz Funk & Heels. Specific classes range from Pre-Latin Dance (ages 3–5, 50 minutes) and Parent-Child Dance (ages 2–4) through Competitive Latin for advanced dancers. Group sizes vary from 4–15 people depending on class type.
Bailemos has established itself as an internationally recognized dance studio under Boston Global Dance Education LLC. In 2023, BGDEC initiated "The Junior Diplomat" cultural exchange program between the US and China as the exclusive US partner. The studio also offers a Summer Workshop Program and runs events and competitions throughout the year.
Both studios are available for rental: the Quincy location features 2700 sq ft of space with full-width mirrors, restroom, Bluetooth speaker, adjustable lighting, air conditioning, and a movable soundproof wall to divide the room. The Quincy studio accommodates 80–100 people. Rental rates are $30/hour for solo practice, $42/hour for half room, and $65/hour for the whole room. Special discounts on studio rentals are offered in May and June.
