About this studio

Dance Amore is a ballroom and Latin dance studio in Paddington, central London, founded by Simone Arena — an Italian professional dancer, former Italian Ballroom and Latin Champion, winner of the Belgian version of Dancing with the Stars, and finalist on Dancing with the Stars Ireland 2024. The studio is taught by a team of TV professionals including Michelle Tsiakkas, a BBC Strictly professional dancer. Simone Arena has been part of the Broadway production of Burn the Floor for over ten consecutive years.

The studio teaches ballroom, Latin, smooth, rhythm, salsa, Argentine tango, bachata, waltz, foxtrot, cha cha, and swing. Lessons are available for complete beginners through to advanced dancers. You don't need a partner — instructors work one-to-one with solo students, and you can join group classes without one. The studio is welcoming to dancers of all ages, including those over 50.

Services include private one-to-one lessons (£80 per session), group classes, wedding dance choreography, corporate dance workshops, and bespoke entertainment for private events. Private lesson packages and monthly group class packages are available: the Gold Package at £320 per month includes four private lessons and four group classes with direct exclusive access to additional group classes and workshops. Michelle Tsiakkas teaches Latin group classes every Thursday at 7pm, with an introductory offer of £25 for a first class. An introductory 45-minute private consultation lesson costs £15.

For weddings, most couples take between 5 and 8 lessons depending on how refined they want the routine to be. Couples are taught the waltz, foxtrot, salsa, bachata, Argentine tango, and swing, with choreography tailored to their song and personalities. The studio recommends starting lessons at least 8 weeks before the wedding. More than 80% of couples who come to Dance Amore have never taken a dance lesson before.

The studio also provides entertainment for corporate events such as holiday parties, product launches, and trade shows, as well as dinner and cabaret shows, private performances, and a signature theatrical dance show available in an Intimate Edition for 20 to 300 guests. The studio is located at 1 Chilworth Mews, Paddington, a 3-minute walk from Paddington tube station, and is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 10pm.

What to expect

Your first visit

Your first lesson is a 45-minute consultation (£15 introductory rate) where an instructor will introduce you to dance styles of your choice, assess your response to teaching, and recommend a programme tailored to your level. You don't need a partner or previous experience — the instructor will guide you through the basics and answer questions about schedules and pricing.
