About this studio

Dance Center Valencia opened in July 2010 under the direction of Verónica Mejía Milla, a choreographer and dance instructor with 15 years of experience teaching modern dance. The academy was founded to fill a need in Valencia for a centre specialised in urban dance. It is now recognised as the first school of urban dance in Valencia.

The studio teaches a broad range of dance styles across all levels. Regular classes cover contemporary dance, reggaeton, urban dance, break dance, hip hop, twerking, commercial dance, K-pop, popping, stretching, lyrical jazz, experimental dance, jazz funk, funky, pole dance, sexy style, and heels. For children, they offer urban kids classes, hip hop for children, and ballet classes for ages 4 and up. Additional activities include pilates, yoga, and HIIT.

Professional training programmes are available through D-PRODANCE (an urban dance vocational qualification), D-LYRICAL LAB PRO, D-360 INTERNATIONAL, D-Level Up (the advanced module of D-360), the Urban Style Professional course, and a professional heels programme. The academy also runs a Junior Summer Urban Beat camp for children.

Beyond group classes, Dance Center Valencia offers private lessons, both in-person and online. They provide choreography for weddings and special events, contract trained dancers for events and celebrations, and rent studio spaces to other professionals and groups. The studio operates a monthly online subscription platform with unlimited access to recorded classes and courses across all styles and levels.

Matriculation for the 2026/27 season opened at the start of September, with classes beginning 3 September. The academy closes in August each summer.
