Before your first class
The studio welcomes beginners of all ages and offers a Pre level for ages 3–6, a Level 1 class for ages 7–9, and an Adult Beginner/Intermediate class for those 18 and over.
Parents' Night Out: $45 per child, $35 each additional sibling (or $30/$25 for first event); $10 non-refundable deposit per child required at registration
About this studio
Instinct Dance Company teaches ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, pom, theatre, and acro to students from toddlerhood through adulthood. The studio is built around a level-based system rather than age—Pre (ages 3–6), Level 1 (ages 7–9), Level 2 (ages 8–11), Level 3 (ages 11–15), Level 4 (ages 15–18), Level 5 (ages 15+), and Adult (18+)—so that dancers progress by skill rather than birthday. This philosophy reflects the studio's belief that self-discipline and effort, not age, drive growth in dance.
The studio offers group classes across all seven styles and levels, private 1-on-1 instruction with experienced leaders for personalised training, and a VITAL class covering knowledge dancers need outside regular technique classes. Creative Movement welcomes toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years in a nurturing space to explore movement and rhythm. DanceAbility is an inclusive programme for individuals with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities, led by experienced instructors who tailor movement to build creativity, self-expression, motor skills, coordination, and social connection.
All group dances culminate in a recital. The studio is led by owner Jenna Toops and director Connor Ruiz, supported by leaders Miss Macy, Miss Trinity, Mrs. Maren, Miss Pammy, Miss Jenna M., and student leader Miss Bri, plus pack coordinator Christina Barnes and pack connector Madi Feight.
Instinct runs regular Parents' Night Out events where children aged 3–18 can drop in for a supervised evening of dance parties, games, crafts, snacks, and surprises. The studio is located at 606 Taywood Rd in Englewood, Ohio, and operates Monday to Friday from 4–8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. Prospective students unsure about level placement can contact the studio via the Contact tab, email, or voicemail for guidance.
