Melissa's Dance Academy LLC

Melissa's Dance Academy teaches Cecchetti Ballet Method, Pointe, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop for ages 3 through adult. The studio is built on a structured syllabus that progresses safely with the natural development of the human body. Classes emphasize correct technique, musicality, and artistry, with dancers learning proper dance terminology alongside skills. The academy believes that mastering each step before moving on creates a strong foundation, helping dancers develop greater strength, confidence and artistry while reducing injury risk.

Melissa Noe, the Owner and Artistic Director, holds a B.S.Ed. in Dance Education from Bowling Green State University and is a Certified Member and Licentiate of the Cecchetti Council of America. She has studied the Cecchetti Method for more than 35 years and has completed Student Grade I through Professional Intermediate examinations, as well as Teacher Grade I through Professional Intermediate certifications. Her training spans Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Modern, and Ballet, studied with distinguished artists from Spain, Russia, Australia, and England.

Melissa performed professionally with the Romeo Civic Ballet Company under Mary Sherman, and danced The Nutcracker with the Macomb Symphony Orchestra, as well as classical roles in Paquita, Coppélia, Swan Lake, Pas de Quatre, and Les Sylphides. During her time at Bowling Green State University, she performed with the University's Dance Alliance and Dance Ensemble. Her extensive teaching career includes 20 years as Associate Director of a local dance studio, service as Dance Director for The Performing Arts School of Metropolitan Toledo, and instruction for the Toledo Opera Summer Camps. She has served as an adjudicator for cheerleading and dance teams, as well as pre-professional ballet companies, and as Head Counselor for the Cecchetti Council of America's International Summer Intensive.

Dancers at Melissa's Dance Academy have the opportunity to take ballet exams to further their training. The studio runs a winter dance showcase, Spring Recital, and participates in Local Events, Ballet Days and Festivals. The academy operates in a positive, encouraging environment where every dancer is given the opportunity to grow technically, artistically, and personally.

Melissa Noe, B.S.Ed., CCA Licentiate, is the Owner and Artistic Director. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with specialization in Dance Education from Bowling Green State University and is a Certified Member and Licentiate of the Cecchetti Council of America, with over 35 years of training in the Cecchetti Method.
