The competition spans three dance disciplines: Rhythm, Smooth, and Latin, plus Ballroom. Dancers compete in single dances and multi-dances across all proficiency levels, from Newcomer and Bronze through Silver and above. Scholarship divisions are available for Pro/Am partnerships. The event also features age-grouped amateur categories including Teddy Bear, Pre-Teen, Junior, and Senior divisions, as well as youth, U21, and senior amateur brackets.
Themed social events punctuate the competition schedule. Thursday evening features a "Too Hot to Handle" Country Western BBQ Spectacular with a dress code matching the theme—"Too Hot to Handle County style." Friday night culminates in the "Battle of the Showcases" event, showcasing amateur cabaret and showdance alongside professional rising stars and open professional cabaret performances. Saturday evening closes with a top awards presentation and the Dancers Cup Tour Grand Finale.
The schedule runs across six sessions: Thursday matinee and evening, Friday matinee and evening, and Saturday matinee and evening.
