About this studio
New Dance Center Basel has built a dance community over more than 25 years. They teach HipHop, House, Ragga, Afro and Jazz classes for all ages and experience levels. Whether you want to stay in shape, learn to control your body, or express yourself through movement, the studio welcomes you regardless of age or background.
The studio runs an inclusive community where people from different cultures, age groups, religions and social backgrounds learn together. They believe dance is a language everyone speaks. Their coaching team includes Jasmin Weder, Jeannine Bruderer, Robyn Nicoll, Kevin Bannier, Arvin Pineda, Sascha Rodriquez, Valentina Ogbebor, Soumaya Ben Ahmed, and many others — a trained ensemble committed to helping you feel at home while sharing what they've learned.
Competitive training is available: the studio enters various national and international competitions and shows each year, and dancers have won multiple titles. If you want stage experience, you can audition for their competitive groups, duos and solos.
Flexibility is built in. There are no fixed contracts — membership is month-to-month and cancelable at any time. Missed classes can be made up whenever you want. If you can only attend irregularly, private lessons are available. The studio also offers custom packages for special events: dance shows for occasions, flashmobs for proposals, or private coaching, with personalised music mixes included.
You can visit free to watch or take a trial class with advance notice. Drop by Zwingerstrasse 12, Basel, and the coaches will welcome you.
