Premier Ballroom and Dance Academy has been teaching dance in Layton for 17 years. The studio offers classes in Ballroom, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm styles, along with West Coast Swing, Country Swing, and Jazz for both children and adults.
Youth programs run from ages 18 months through 18 years, with a performing arts preschool for ages 3–5. The studio is ranked 3rd in the US for its children's ballroom program and offers both performance and competitive opportunities. Summer classes include free trial weeks for ages 3–17, and themed 6-week courses such as "Princess and Fairytales," "Bluey and Friends," and "Viral K-Pop Dance." Youth options range from combo dance and acro classes to competitive ballroom training.
Adult programs cater to all skill levels. Courses run for 6, 8, or 12 weeks and include Beginner and Level 2 West Coast Swing, 8-week Beginner Ballroom, and 6-week Beginner Country Swing. Monthly 4-week classes and drop-in options are also available, with a 10% discount for new students. Wedding couple dance lessons are offered at $45 for a 30-minute introductory lesson, $85 for a single 45-minute lesson, or $400 for five 45-minute lessons.
The studio hosts regular socials: West Coast Swing socials every Wednesday (8:15–10:30 PM, $10 per person) and on the second Saturday of each month (7:30 PM–12 AM, $10 per person); Country Swing nights every Friday (8:15 PM–12 AM, $6 per person); and Ballroom socials on the fourth Saturday of each month (7:30–11 PM, $10 per person, with a free beginner class at 7:30 PM). Special events have featured guest instructors such as WCS champion Skylar Pritchard. Youth and teen swing nights for 9th–12th graders are held on the last Friday of each month.
