About this studio
Östermalms Dansstudio is a dance studio for all ages and levels in central Stockholm. The studio offers Ballroom and Latin courses, ballet, Zumba Latin fitness, dance mix for kids, wedding dances and private lessons. You can train competitively, take recreational classes, or learn a specific style suited to your goals.
The studio is led by Per Almberg and Emese Bengtsberg, a husband-and-wife professional ballroom and Latin dance partnership who represent Sweden at the highest level of international professional competition. Per is a multiple Swedish Amateur Latin Champion and current Swedish Professional Latin Champion with Emese; both are quarter-finalists in the Professional European Championships. Per holds a degree in dance education, an international judging qualification, and a master's degree in Industrial Management and Engineering. Emese trained from age seven and holds degrees in music, dance pedagogy, and communication and media. She is also an international and national judge.
The teaching team includes Svetlana Pajusova, a ballroom and standard dance coach with more than 30 years of experience in ten-dance and competitive dance. She holds the highest judging category in both Ukraine and Sweden and has coached dancers who have achieved results as finalists and winners of numerous international competitions. Iuliana Dzhulai is a professional ballerina, choreographer and Ten Dance coach who worked as a professional ballerina at the St. Petersburg Classical Ballet Theatre and founded the dance ensemble "Grand Pas" in Ukraine. She teaches ballet and works with competitive dancers on body control, posture, flexibility, musicality and artistic expression. Brigi Nagy, from Hungary, has competed in Ballroom and Latin dancing at national and international level and has also trained in Ballet, Boogie woogie, Lindy hop, Show dance and Salsa. She holds child courses and teaches wedding dance.
Class offerings include Ballroom & Latin for beginners, Ballet for adults at beginner levels, Zumba on Thursday evenings, and Dansmix (dance mix) for children aged 3–5 and 5+. The studio runs competitive training programmes, dance camps during summer, Christmas and other seasons, practice nights with competition simulation, and intensive days. Wedding dance private lessons are available, as are one-hour private lessons in Ballroom & Latin for solos or couples at 1,150 SEK. Group dance lessons for adults and children can be booked on request. The studio also books dance shows.

Your first visit
Classes range from beginner-friendly Ballroom and Latin courses starting in September to specialised competitive training and kids' dance mix. You can drop into Zumba on Thursday evenings or sign up for multi-week courses. Private lessons and wedding dance coaching are available by booking.
