About this studio

Tango Mon Amour is an Argentine tango school in Paris's 11th arrondissement, founded in 2012. The school offers regular weekly classes and monthly thematic workshops for dancers at intermediate, advanced and "false beginner" levels. Classes focus on technique, connection, musicality and choreography, allowing you to develop your skills progressively.

Regular classes run every Thursday at Théâtre de la Danse (77 Rue de Charonne). Tango de Piste (7–8:30 pm) teaches improvisation for social tango at intermediate and advanced levels. Tango de Scène (8:30–9:30 pm) covers complex sequences with technical work on geometry, dynamics and aesthetics. A Groupe Chorégraphique (9:30–10:30 pm) works on choreographic creation in the manner of a dance company, complementing the stage tango course.

Monthly thematic workshops vary by focus: technique, leading, musicality and tango vocabulary. Recent workshops include "L'élégance du minimalisme" with Veronica & Asya, "Guidage pour femmes" (leading for women), couple workshops, and "Technique pour followers". Workshops typically run 3 hours (2:30–5:30 pm or 3–6 pm).

The core teaching team—Mariana Patsarika, Dimitris Biskas and Veronica Toumanova—have each taught Argentine tango for over 15 years and have been with the school since its founding. They perform regularly as artists in shows, demonstrations, Argentine tango festivals and special events. The school collaborates with Patrice Meissirel and Irene Moraglio from Tango Unione, visiting instructor Asya Moiseeva, and international guest teachers.

Classes are held at three venues: Théâtre de la Danse (77 Rue de Charonne, 11th), Studio Micadanses (16 Rue Geoffroy l'Asnier, 4th) and Studio Le Baretto (18 rue du Moulin Joly, 11th). Pricing is flexible: annual packages €400–€800 for weekly or twice-weekly Thursday classes; 4- or 10-class cards €80–€170; single classes or workshops €20–€25 without membership.
