About this studio

Let us Dancing (Laissez-Nous Danser) is a dance association based in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, with additional partner dance classes in Tours. Since 2011, they have built a community of around 250 members around the principle of dancing without gender roles or fear of judgment.

They teach two main styles: partner dance (danse à deux) and hip hop. Partner dance classes run 1 hour per week and cost from €34 per month; hip hop classes are 1 hour 30 minutes per week from €43 per month. Both programmes include a discovery session so you can experience the teaching style and atmosphere before committing. In partner dance, you choose your role — leader or follower — regardless of gender. Hip hop emphasises self-expression according to your own wishes and sensitivity.

Beyond classes, the studio runs regular practice sessions: partner dance has a 2–3 hour practice once a month; hip hop has one every two months. Both groups also organise monthly social dancing — partner dance dancers meet on the last Saturday of each month at Tango, while hip hop members dance monthly at MONA or at events they choose together.

Accessibility is built into their offer: they provide audio description for people who are blind and French sign language (LSF) interpretation for deaf dancers. The studio is also known as the first association to offer hip hop classes within the LGBTQIA+ community, and they champion non-gendered dance and inclusive space across all their work.

The culture emphasises mutual support, laughter, and friendship both in and outside the dance room. Teachers often join members for drinks, outings, or cultural events. Intensive stages are available as optional boosters to your learning. There are bars and restaurants nearby for social time before or after classes.
