About this studio

The Art of Ballroom is an adult-focused ballroom dance studio in Nashville located at 5300 Centennial Boulevard. They teach Ballroom, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm styles, offering both private lessons and beginner-friendly group classes. Private lessons provide personalised, confidence-building instruction for adults learning ballroom fundamentals—connection, lead/follow, and timing—whether your goal is social dancing, performance, or competition. Group classes are structured to be welcoming and fun, and you don't need a partner to join.

The studio runs special events described as elegant theme nights and guest nights designed for adults who want a classy social evening and a comfortable way to meet dance friends while using what you're learning. They also offer trial classes for new students and an Introductory Package as a common entry point.

Three instructors are listed on the team. Randy Thomas became a finalist on "So You Think You Can Dance" and is certified at Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels in both American and International styles, including Rhythm and Latin, through the Dance Vision International Dance Association (DVIDA). TK Green is certified in Bronze Rhythm and Smooth, and Silver Smooth, with a background in hip hop, popping, jazz, and contemporary before discovering ballroom at 18. Kaila Long, born to two accomplished ballroom dancers, began teaching at 18 and is certified with honours in both Bronze Smooth and Rhythm; she has worked with dancers of every level and performs alongside her students.

The studio participates actively in the competitive circuit, with students competing at events including Heart of America, Capital Dance Championships, Hawaii Star Ball, Elite Dancesport, and Ohio Star Ball. Opportunities are available for students to participate in competitions, showcases, and performances throughout the year. The studio is open Monday to Friday 12 pm to 8 pm.
