About this studio
The Crystal Ballroom Dance Center opened in 2018, founded by Amy and David Ross with a mission to cultivate an all-inclusive dance community and help people connect through dance. The studio occupies over 5,000 square feet and features two ballrooms, a complete dance store, and a small snack bar.
You can learn from a comprehensive list of ballroom and Latin styles: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Peabody, Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, Mambo, Paso Doble, Jive, Samba, Viennese Waltz, Club Hustle, Night Club 2 Step, Country 2 Step, Latin, Salsa on 1, Salsa on 2, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk, Merengue, Vintage Swing, Lindy Hop, Balboa, Jitterbug, Blues, Charleston, West Coast Swing, and Argentine Tango. The studio offers private lessons (one-on-one with a certified instructor), group classes that cycle through different styles, and Dance Vision Medal Classes that follow a progressive four-level syllabus.
Group classes run year-round. On Saturdays there are Pre-Party Group Classes in two levels (Continuing and Introductory, no experience necessary), followed by a DJ'd party for additional social time and practice. During the week, 4-week series classes cover a variety of dances. The studio also runs monthly events, the Buckeye Showcase competition, formation team training, and dance certifications. Wedding lessons are available for couples preparing their first dance.
Your first visit begins with an introductory private lesson: you'll get a tour of the facility, a consultation about your goals, a 45-minute lesson with a certified instructor, and answers to your questions. The team will guide you through the studio's programmes and get you dancing basics in your first session. No partner or prior experience is required to start.
