About this studio
The Dance Pointe is a Tulsa dance studio serving children from age 1 through teens, with classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, tumbling, aerial silks, musical theatre, and pointe work. The studio is led by owner and director Pamela Farry-Haden, who holds a BFA in Ballet Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma and trained professionally in New York at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. Ms. Farry has directed original productions of Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland through her work as Director of South Tulsa Children's Ballet and Theater, and serves as dance choreographer for musical theatre productions.
The teaching staff combines depth of experience across multiple disciplines. Aubrey Weatherford teaches ballet, tap, jazz, and leaps & turns, bringing high-level competitive experience and multiple choreography awards. Coach Bri offers over 25 years in ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, and hip hop, with Acrobatic Arts certification and specialized training in aerial silks and acrobatics from Circus Circus and top New York programs. Coach Rae brings over 20 years in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and vocal performance, with a Musical Performance degree from Tulsa Community College and leading roles in musicals including Willy Wonka, The Princess and the Pea, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. Kim K has over 17 years of dance training and has performed lead roles in classical ballets and musicals, earning multiple competitive titles at regional and national levels. Patricia combines technical expertise with warm, supportive instruction.
Programs are structured by age and skill level. The studio welcomes children as young as 1 year old through its Mommy and Me program, which focuses on creative movement and bonding through dance. Preschool programs begin at age 3, building rhythm, coordination, and confidence. Students progress through beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels in each style. Ballet emphasizes barre and center work with terminology, technique, and classical artistry, drawing from Russian (Vaganova), French, Italian (Cecchetti), and English (Royal Academy of Dance) schools. Jazz classes focus on technique, musicality, and choreography, combining turns, leaps, and progressions. Hip hop teaches dynamic choreography influenced by hip hop culture, emphasizing rhythm, groove, and individual expression. A combo class for beginners blends tap, ballet, and jazz. Leaps & Turns is a technique-only class focused on perfecting and learning new skills. Tumbling builds strength, flexibility, control, and endurance to safely execute tricks for dance. Aerial silks involves climbing, wrapping, and creating shapes while suspended in fabric from the ceiling. Musical Theatre & Vocal Training teaches proper breathing, vocal exercises to strengthen range and control, and methods for interpreting and expressing songs. Pointe & Demi-Pointe programs require approval from Ms. Farry.
Competition teams compete regionally each year with small and large groups, solos, duos, and trios. Every student participates in seasonal recitals, and the studio also hosts occasional Parent Watch Weeks. The studio is located at 9353 E. 95th Court, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133. Business hours are Monday–Thursday 4:00 PM–9:00 PM, Friday 5:00 PM–7:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM–2:00 PM; closed Sunday. The studio has a 4.8 Google rating from 161 reviews.
