About this studio
Theresa Ivanovic teaches Blues, Solo Jazz, Lindy Hop, Hoopdance and Charleston in Leipzig and Zwenkau. She has over 9 years of teaching experience and runs classes from three locations: Studio Lagerhofstraße 4 in Leipzig, Noels Ballroom, and KulturKino in Zwenkau.
Her philosophy is simple: there is no right or wrong on the dance floor, only people who want to express themselves and a community that makes that possible. Most of her styles do not require a partner. Solo Jazz requires no partner, no counting, and no stress. Blues is taught as a solo form for beginners with no prior experience needed. Hoopdance is described as playful, meditative and surprisingly profound — hoops are provided in class. Lindy Hop is taught in workshop formats for both beginners and advanced dancers, and you can attend alone. She also teaches Charleston and offers a Solo Jazz variant called Jazz it Up! for those with some prior experience.
Classes run year-round except during school holidays and public holidays. Most are ongoing courses you can join at any time, though she recommends starting at the beginning of the month when new topics begin. Pair dance courses (Lindy Hop and Blues partner variants) run for 6–8 weeks with fixed start and end dates; registration closes after the second session. Beginners are explicitly welcome in most classes. Student feedback highlights her patient teaching style, ability to break down complex step combinations, and warm approach that makes people feel well supported. One student reported four years of continuous Solo Jazz study with her, plus experience in Hoopdance and partner dance, noting improvements in technique, expression, body awareness and confidence through performances.

What to expect
Your first visit
You book through the Eversports app or online form. Classes involve intensive warming up, so wear comfortable training clothes and clean dance shoes (no jeans or skirts). Bring something to drink and a change shirt. You'll join a mixed group and can choose your role freely in partner dances — lead, follow, or switch roles regardless of gender.
