Twinkle Dance Company (Causeway Bay Branch)

Twinkle Dance Company opened in 2007 and operates from four locations across Hong Kong, including this branch on the 9th floor of Capital Commercial Building in Causeway Bay. Founded by Twinkle Lam, the school is an all-English-taught professional dance studio offering classes for students from 18 months old through to adults.

For children, the studio runs Ballet with Mommy (18 months–2.5 years, accompanied by a parent), Ballet classes from age 2+, K-pop Jazz from age 3+, Musical Theatre from age 2+, Pop Star Academy from age 3+, and Contemporary Dance for teens. Each term, under-5 classes shift to a new theme so children stay engaged. The school's approach emphasizes teaching dance techniques through imaginative storytelling—describing tendu legs as "French fries" and 5th position arms as "lollipops" to help students relax and memorise moves naturally.

Adult classes span beginner to advanced levels and include Adult Ballet (with Complete Beginner, Level 1, Level 2, and Variation options), Silver Swan Ballet (for age 55+), Barre Sculpt, Contemporary Dance, K-pop, and Stretch and Conditioning. The school offers private classes at $1200 per session, customised to your level and needs.

All courses are accredited by the Royal Academy of Dance and JazzAddict. Students can sit Royal Academy of Dance annual examinations (May–June), Trinity College London Musical Theatre exams, or simply perform in the annual Dance Showcase. The studio also arranges large-scale dance performances throughout the year and runs summer camps, kids' parties, and special workshops like the Stage Makeup Workshop for children.

The teaching team comes from across the globe—the United Kingdom, Canada, Malaysia, Russia, Italy, and the Philippines—each with professional qualifications. Staff have been specially selected and trained to be gentle and caring, with a focus on building children's physical skills, social confidence, and focus in a safe, loving environment.

Classes are taught in English in a supportive, no-fear environment. Your first visit will involve learning dance techniques through imaginative, playful instruction, with classical music for ballet or pop hits for contemporary and K-pop classes. Children's classes end each term with an open class performance for parents.

Complete beginners welcome at all levels; adult ballet has a dedicated Complete Beginner class, and Barre Sculpt requires no prior dance experience.
