Bud Walters, the founder, is a Cincinnati native and former national dance champion who represented the United States in 1960. He has been teaching dance professionally for over 65 years, worked with major studios, and has also had a career as a professional actor and model. Bud's teaching philosophy centres on personalized, pressure-free instruction: he guarantees there are no contracts to sign, and says he has never met anyone he couldn't teach.
The studio teaches popular ballroom and social dance styles including slow dance, foxtrot, swing, cha-cha, tango, rumba, and waltz. Lessons are one-on-one instruction, always private, and tailored to your pace and goals. The studio works with engaged couples for their first dance, but also teaches father-daughter, mother-son, and other family dances for weddings. Individual students can take lessons for fitness, confidence, social dancing, or simply to learn a new skill, with no special occasion required.
All lessons are one hour long. The studio is located at 1547 Spring Lawn Ave in Cincinnati and serves the Greater Cincinnati area. Lessons are currently offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 AM to 9 PM, with Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability by request. The studio offers gift certificates for dance lessons.
