About this studio
Artistic Generation Dance Complex (ArtGEN) opened on 5 June 2022 with a commitment to creating a safe, judgment-free space where dancers can conquer fears and exceed their goals. Founded by Gracie Wilson and Melissa Hall—who trained Gracie from age 10 at StarMaker Dance Company—the studio brings together a decade of reconnection and shared vision. ArtGEN is the first and only dance studio represented by the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce.
The studio's approach merges traditional classes with convention-style training across multiple genres. Every team member competes in solos, attends conventions and competitions as they wish, and benefits from an individual success plan. The curriculum is designed so that every dancer advances through a structured progression regardless of their starting point.
Classes are organised by age and level across seven bands: Princess (ages 3–4), Petite (ages 4–7), Premier (ages 7–10), Primary (ages 8–11), Prime (ages 12–14), Pre-Pro (ages 14–18), and Peak (alumni). The studio teaches Creative Movement, Tap, Pre-Ballet, Ballet Fundamentals (levels 1, 2, 3, and Intermediate), Pre-Pointe, Pointe, Acrobatics, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Conditioning, Flexibility, Leaps and Turns, Ballroom, Progressions, and Improv. Group classes meet weekly during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Private lessons are available year-round with instructors and choreographers including Gracie Wilson, Melissa B. Hall, and Alexis Ziarkowski.
The studio operates from 1384 Gunbarrel Rd, Suite B/C/D, Chattanooga, TN 37421, and is committed to maintaining a clean and safe facility with published safety policies. Studio history
ArtGEN was founded on 5 June 2022 by Gracie Wilson of Dalton, GA and Melissa Hall, former owner of StarMaker Dance Company who trained Gracie from age 10. They reconnected professionally a decade later to create a space for dancers filled with love and support. The studio is now in its 4th chapter and celebrates being Chattanooga's first and only dance studio represented by the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce.
