Beats Dance Bath teaches ballet, tap, street dance, contemporary, jazz, acro dance and tumbling to children, with adult classes in ballet, contemporary, commercial tap and pilates. The studio operates from The Hub at Mulberry Park (weekdays and Saturdays) and also uses St. Luke's Church on Saturdays.
Children can train towards competition teams and performances, with the studio noting Dance World Cup finalists in 2025 and 2026 and performers at Move It 2025 and 2026. The school takes part in local community events including The Bath Carnival and The Polar Express, and puts on an annual show. Summer dance intensives run as one-day or two-day workshops.
Classes are structured by age and ability. Primary-level ballet and tap students wear regulation ISTD uniform (pink leotard, tights and wrap skirt for Primary; sky blue for Grades 1–3; black for Grade 4+). Contemporary and technical classes require black clothing in bare feet or dance trainers. Street dance workshops allow freestyle dress, with many students wearing Beats branded hoodies and t-shirts available by direct order.
New students can try a class before committing to term fees. Fees are paid termly in advance; a 10% sibling or multi-class discount applies if one family books three or more classes per week. Trial classes are available but charged. Children can take optional exams or progress by skill level alone. Watching weeks run at the end of the autumn term so parents can see what their child learns.
The studio emphasizes safe technique, proper warm-up and a positive, inclusive environment. All dancers and parents must complete a registration form noting any pre-existing injuries or medical conditions. Qualified first aiders are on site. Teachers may use hands-on correction to improve body placement. Parents cannot observe regular classes except during designated watching weeks and end-of-term presentations.
