Cincy Dance Studio, LLC

Cincy Dance Studio is in its 19th season, located in Madeira, Ohio at 8143 Camargo Road. The studio attracts dancers from across the greater Cincinnati area and operates two spacious studios for classes and training.

Classes run Monday to Thursday 3pm–9pm and Saturday 10am–2pm. The studio offers Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Pointe, Hip Hop, Technique, and Acro for ages 3 through adults, with levels from beginner to advanced. Young learners start with Creative Movement (ages 3–4) exploring ballet, tap and jazz through imagination and props, then progress through Kinder level (ages 5–6) and Levels 1–4 (ages 7+). Lyrical combines ballet and jazz with abstract choreography, emotional connection and floor work. Hip Hop classes let dancers add personal style to B-boying and modern choreography. Pointe requires teacher recommendation and includes barre and centre work. The studio also runs Strength & Flexibility, a one-hour class for teens and adults focusing on core strength, endurance and flexibility through pilates, yoga and resistance work.

Lauren Grove is owner and director, celebrating 19 years leading the studio. She began dancing at age three in Richmond, Virginia, and has built a reputation for choreography and mentorship. An award-winning choreographer, she has earned numerous Overall High Score and First Overall awards in Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Musical Theatre at regional and national competitions. She has choreographed for dance studios, recording artists and high school teams throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia and the Carolinas.

Other instructors include Jayne Friscia, who trained at San Diego Civic Youth Ballet and holds a degree from the University of California, Irvine, receiving the Cloud Hsueh Scholarship for Outstanding Student in Dance; Jenna Kahn, with 18 years of dance experience and a BFA in Dance Performance from Northern Kentucky University, specialising in Tap and Commercial Hip Hop; and Lauren Storm, a University of Cincinnati Varsity Dance Team member who won 2 National Championships and 3 World Championships in hip hop and pom, and has performed at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Broadway Dance Center in New York.

The studio runs a competitive team called the Cincy STARS. Over 19 seasons they have won numerous achievements and overall awards including Most Entertaining, Creative Concepts, Choreography, Emotional Execution and Costuming. The annual Recital takes place at Mason Middle School (2027 dates: Friday June 4 and Saturday June 5). The studio also offers private and small group lessons, rents space to fitness groups, birthday parties and rehearsal groups, and provides choreography services.

Classes are welcoming and fun, catering to all levels from absolute beginner to advanced. Younger children use make-believe and props while learning rhythm and movement quality; older students focus on technique, combinations and faster-paced choreography appropriate to their level.
