Dance Austin Studio teaches dance styles ranging from hip hop to ballet to students of all ages and backgrounds. The studio operates from a 2,324 square-foot space on Research Boulevard with two studios: Studio 1 (1,300 sq ft) and Studio 2 (400 sq ft). Both are equipped with fully mirrored walls, Marley dance flooring, and sprung floors. The studio also has ballet barres, a sound system, disco ball and special lighting, changing rooms, and a front lobby.
The weekly schedule includes Intuitive Choreography on Tuesdays, taught by AJ. This class is described as a space where creation unfolds in real time—students step into the choreographer's process, exploring how movement and music meet in the present moment. With the music constantly flowing, you tap into your instincts, respond to rhythm, and learn how choreography can emerge from pure feeling and connection.
Each year, the studio offers two adult showcases for several classes and skill levels. Over the course of 7 weeks, your instructor will create a piece for your class to showcase. These are designed for anyone looking for opportunities to dance on stage or film.
