About this studio
Dance Enthusiasm was established in 1992 by Tina Zolla and Mary Luz, friends and dance enthusiasts determined to create a studio where dancers of all ages and abilities could confidently learn and grow. The studio offers classes for recreational through competitive dancers, from the tiniest dancers to adults. The faculty brings years of professional experience and are driven and passionate about the art of dance. Dance Enthusiasm's competitive dancers have gone on to be accomplished performers both collegiately and professionally—some appearing in Christmas Story on Broadway, Relativity School in Los Angeles, Boston Ballet, as backup dancers for various artists, and in music videos. Beyond performance, the studio takes pride in developing successful individuals who pursue their own dreams, whether in dance or other fields.
The class schedule spans Monday through Thursday with a range of offerings. Young dancers start with Twinkle Toes Ballet for ages 3–4 and Kinderdance for ages 5–6. The studio runs Ballet Technique, Ballet, and Pointe classes across age groups (ages 7–12, teens and seniors), alongside Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, and Contemporary classes. Specialised classes include Core & More, Turns & Leaps, Dancer Conditioning, and Flexibility & Strength for company members. Adult Tap is also available for ages 18+. Friday offers Master Classes and Workshops. Company dancers meet regularly and participate in mandatory rehearsals during specified breaks.
Recitals are a significant part of the calendar, with the studio holding performances at Marblehead Middle School. The 2027 recital is scheduled for Saturday 29 May, with ticket day, dress rehearsal, and picture day in late May. Summer session runs from early June through late June, with classes beginning 20 May. The studio observes standard holidays and breaks, with no regularly scheduled classes during Thanksgiving, winter break (21 December–3 January), February break, and April break.
