About this studio
Dance Lessons by Lenny is run by Lenny Seasonwein, who has been dancing professionally for more than 40 years. He began as a competitive dancer and developed a reputation strong enough that friends asked him to teach. What started as a sideline business teaching wedding couples has grown into a three-time award-winning instruction service serving Chattanooga and all of Tennessee.
Lenny teaches private lessons in Ballroom, Latin, Hustle, Swing, and Universal Dance Steps. He also offers virtual lessons via Zoom, including half-price trial lessons. Lessons are tailored to your skill level and goals—whether you're preparing for a wedding first dance, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, or other special occasion, or simply want to learn to dance for enjoyment.
The studio specializes in wedding dance instruction for couples with little or no experience. Lenny works at a pace that suits you, breaking down steps clearly and building confidence through patient, encouraging instruction. Many couples report learning a complete first dance in just a few lessons. He also teaches a Tango for Parkinson's class each week, designed to improve balance, coordination, and gait while making classes enjoyable.
Private lessons cost $50 per session for one or two people (at least 45 minutes), or $60 per session for wedding or special occasion lessons per couple. Additional people cost $10 each. Lenny is willing to travel for house calls. There is no contract required—you pay per lesson on a cash basis. Lessons are available Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM. For couples interested in group classes, Lenny offers ongoing instruction in Salsa, Rumba, and Swing, with video demonstrations available showing four months of progress in each style.

Studio history
Lenny developed a teaching business after being asked by many friends to accompany them to formal and informal parties. People would often ask if he was a professional dancer, which eventually inspired him to create business cards and start teaching wedding couples. He originally called the business 'Dance Instruction by Leonardo' but later changed it to his real name for a more personal feel.
