Dance Motionz opened in 2012, founded by Lauren Stoudt after years of teaching at various studios, leading the outreach dance program at Whitworth University, and traveling to teach masterclasses. Stoudt holds a degree in elementary education and brings that background to every aspect of the studio—her approach focuses not just on technique but on building self-confidence, discipline, and purpose in young dancers.
The studio teaches children ages 2 to 18 in jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, pointe, lyrical, tumbling, and acro. Classes range from playful toddler morning sessions to dynamic afternoon programs for all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers training at a competitive level. The studio runs a competitive team called IMPACT, which performs at showcases and competes, with recitals held at major venues like the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox and the First Interstate Center for the Arts.
What sets Dance Motionz apart is Stoudt's commitment to nurturing both dancers and educators. All staff members participate in monthly continuing education training sessions focused on keeping creativity in the dance room, positive classroom management, and building self-confidence and community. The studio emphasizes that dancers gain more than technique: teamwork, discipline, confidence, integrity, poise, and lifelong friendships.
The studio is located at 7827 N Market St in North Spokane and maintains a parent portal for class registration and communication. Dance Motionz also rents studio space and hosts community events, including a movie night for the studio family. New students can try a free class by filling out a trial class form.

Your first visit
You'll enter a warm, encouraging environment where children ages 2–18 train in a range of styles.
