The class range spans partner dance (West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, Rueda de Casino, Brazilian Zouk, Country Western, Blues, Cross Step Waltz, Night Club Two-Step, Hustle and more), solo dance, fitness classes (Zumba, Hatha Yoga, Pilates, Barre, Energy Flow, Dance & Step Fitness, Tap dance, Folk Dance, Line Dance), and kids' programmes. Classes are taught at five levels: Level 1-2 for beginners (never danced before or new to dancing, up to 6 months experience), Level 3 for intermediate dancers (6 months to 2 years experience), and Levels 4-5 for advanced dancers (2 years and up). You do not need to bring a partner to partner dance classes—the studio rotates partners throughout. Classes run 7 days a week, with a 5 student minimum and 40 student maximum enrollment. Pre-registration is required 24 hours ahead; contact the studio on the day if you forgot to register.
Kids and family programming focuses on fun before form, giving children confidence and inspiring a lifelong passion for movement. Offerings include Kids Art, Friendship, Free Play; Kids Ballet; Kids Broadway; Kids Creative Dance and Play; and Kids Tap and Musical Theater. The studio maintains a 1:5 adult-to-child ratio with a maximum of 24 kids per class. After-school enrichment covers art, dance, music, theater, games, park walks, science projects, creative free play, SEL and friendship. No-school holiday camps provide childcare during PPS and North Clackamas no-school days. Transportation options include PPS bus stops from Llewellyn (route 288) and Duniway (route 227), pick-up at St. Agatha's by a DWJS teacher, and ride share with parents from other schools.
Wedding dance lessons are available to help couples prepare for their special day. You and your partner work with instructors to choreograph and practice a first-dance routine to the song of your choice. The studio also hosts Saturday Family Dance Parties as part of its family programming.
Classes are offered both in-person and via Zoom for students unable to join in person. The studio follows CDC and OHA guidelines for safety; proof of vaccination is no longer required for in-person classes and masks are now optional. The studio asks everyone to be respectful of others as the community moves forward with grace, kindness and care. You'll be asked to pre-register and pre-pay online, by phone, by email, or in person with cash or check.
