About this studio
DCD Studio | Dream Cheer & Dance was founded in 2003 by its owner, who brings over 20 years of experience coaching and teaching dance and cheerleading at elementary, middle, high school and adult levels. The studio has accumulated over 18 years of dance competition experience both in and out of state, and draws on skills in the performing arts for their performances.
Classes are open to students aged 4 through adults, covering beginner to advanced levels. The studio teaches ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and cheerleading. Ballet training is presented as providing a strong foundation for all styles of dance, teaching technique and terminology. Hip hop combines freestyle movements, while contemporary blends elements of modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Lyrical combines ballet and jazz with music that has lyrics. Cheerleading is described as a team-based sport involving stunting, pyramids, baskets, tumbling, jumps and dance.
Beyond regular classes, DCD offers weekend summer camping, out-of-state competitions, parades, two performances a year, and community performances. The studio has a stated vision of "sparking conversations and inspiring the imagination, with a vision that cannot be taught, and must be personally experienced." The adult programme is designed specifically for fitness, confidence building and skills building at beginner to advanced levels.

Your first visit
You can start with a one-hour audition to meet the choreographers, learn about the studio's programmes and what they offer. Classes are available by appointment for regular training, and the studio also runs special events like line dancing classes every other Friday.
