About this studio
Energize Dance Studio opened in September 2020, founded by Erin Crobons after she graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology and Applied Mathematics. The studio began with ten students on Zoom during COVID-19 restrictions and has grown to serve over 100 students each week across more than 40 classes. In August 2022, the studio expanded into a 2600 square-foot facility with two dance studio rooms, a dancer lounge, a comfortable lobby space, and an on-site dance wear boutique.
The studio offers classes for ages 2 through 12th grade across multiple programs. Tiny Twirlers (ages 2–5) is the preschool dance program, with five age-based levels: Pink (ages 2–3), Teal (ages 3–4), Yellow (ages 4–5), POP!, and Tumbling. Each level focuses on self-expression, creativity, and movement foundations, with classes running 30 to 45 minutes. Kindergarten students can join Kinder Combo, a 45-minute class combining ballet and tap. For older students, Club Energize offers ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, acro, hip hop, and cheer dance classes at various skill levels. The Competitive Company serves dancers in kindergarten through 12th grade who attend regional competitions and conventions, with auditions held each May.
All new dancers receive a special welcome box as a gift. The studio offers a 100% Happiness Guarantee: families can enroll their child in any class and experience it for 30 days commitment-free; if it is not the right fit, they can cancel with no strings attached. Billing occurs on the 1st of each month through the Parent Portal, which allows families to manage enrollment and payment information online. Recital costume fees are billed at the 30-day mark. The studio runs an annual summer recital in which all students perform.
The instructors are described as devoted, caring, and highly skilled. The studio emphasises building not only strong dancers but amazing humans, focusing on confidence, respect, teamwork, integrity, responsibility, and growth. Classes run six days a week, August 10, 2026 through July 17, 2027. The studio has earned multiple awards: 2023 Best Dance Studio in Sarasota, 2022 and 2024 Best of Florida Regional Winner for Best Schools, Studios & Instructors, and is a 2026 Best of Florida Performing Arts Schools, Studios & Instructors Nominee.

Studio history
Energize Dance Studio was founded in May 2020 by Erin Crobons, a recent college graduate with a degree in Psychology and Applied Mathematics. She opened it to keep a group of dancers together after the studio where she had taught for 3.5 years was unable to reopen following COVID-19 closures. She began with ten students on Zoom and opened the physical studio doors in September 2020. In August 2022, at the beginning of Season 3, she expanded into a 2600 square-foot facility with two studios, a dancer lounge, and a dance wear boutique.
