La Danza is a dance center in the heart of Cologne teaching partner dances and solo styles across multiple levels. You can start alone or bring a partner to classes in Salsa Cubana, Casino & Colombiana, Bachata Sensual & Dominicana, Kizomba, Urban Kiz, Zouk Brasil, and Tango Argentino. Solo styles include Contemporary Dance, Commercial Dance & Reggaeton, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Twerk & Afro, Heels, Lady Styling & Female Ragga Hip, and Zumba Fitness & Twerxout. Kids & Teens classes are also offered.
The studio runs beginner courses, multi-level progression, and flexible entry—you can join at any time and try trial classes before committing. Partner rotation during pair dances is standard, and instructors join the rotation so you can dance with trained teachers and receive personal corrections. You can attend multiple classes per day if you wish, and the studio allows you to pause memberships for up to six months or credit extended absences (two weeks or more) against your subscription.
Beyond regular classes, La Danza offers private lessons, wedding choreography (you work together to choose music and create a routine), dance performances for birthdays and corporate events (Cuban and Brazilian styles, often followed by group classes), Junggesellinnenabschied (hen party) dance courses in Salsa or Lady Styling with use of the foyer for a champagne reception, and gift vouchers for workshops or courses.
Membership options include a single-course weekly abo, an AllClass Flatrate for unlimited classes, and 12-week beginner packages. You can switch between styles, levels, instructors, and days of the week at any time, and upgrade or downgrade membership tiers freely. The studio also offers hall rental (Saalvermietung) for external bookings and accepts USC (Universitätssportclub) registration.
Opening hours span Monday 18:00–22:00, Tuesday 16:00–22:00, Wednesday 17:00–22:00, Thursday 18:00–20:00, Friday 16:00–22:00, and Sunday 16:00–21:00. The team is described as qualified, specialized instructors who bring the lived culture of their respective dance styles. Recent workshops and events include a Shuffle Workshop in August and the Bachatalicious Party.
