LaVida Dance Studio

LaVida Dance Studio is located in Totem Square Plaza in Kirkland and teaches dance to children from age 2 through adults. The studio's name reflects its mission: La Vida means 'life' in Spanish, and the studio aims to empower lives through dance by helping people of all ages build confidence, express themselves, and grow into their potential.

Youth classes are divided into two tracks. Littles (ages 2–6) offers preschool and kindergarten programmes with joyful, upbeat classes teaching basic steps, following directions, and positive interaction using engaging music and age-appropriate props. The Primary track (ages 6–18) is a beginner-to-intermediate programme perfect for kids and teens new to dance or trying a new style, building foundational skills and proper technique while moving to age-appropriate music alongside peers their own age. Classes cover ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, acro dance, and ballroom.

Adult classes include hip-hop, bachata, and solo ladies Latin mix, with trial classes available. The studio explicitly welcomes beginners with no experience or partner needed. Private lessons are offered in a wide range of styles: ballroom (waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba, cha-cha, swing), Latin (salsa, bachata), Argentine tango, West Coast swing, Zouk, ballet, jazz, jazz funk, hip-hop, and lyrical/contemporary. Private lessons are 45 minutes for up to 2 people, priced at $90 per lesson, $350 for 4 lessons, or $680 for 8 lessons.

The studio runs two annual performances: a Winter Showcase and a Recital & Production. Both give dancers of all ages the chance to perform on stage, celebrate progress, and create memories while building confidence, discipline, and focus. Competition teams are available for both youth (ages 6–18) and adults who are passionate and driven; they train in a non-toxic, drama-free environment where excellence and encouragement go hand in hand.

Additional offerings include summer camps with themed week-long programmes, creative activities, and final-day performances for family and friends. Kids' birthday parties are available for ages 2 and up, including a dance class led by an instructor and a party room for presents and treats. The studio also offers wedding dance lessons, with couples receiving video to practise with their own choice of music. Group private lessons can be chartered for your social circle, with choice of day, time, and dance style. The studio describes itself as an International School of Dance where dancers from all over the world come together, creating a warm, welcoming space where every dancer feels seen, understood, and celebrated.
