Today it is one of the largest private dance studios in the country, with locations in North Andover, MA, Windham, NH, and Newburyport, MA. The Competitive Program accepts ages 8–18 and is known nationally for its versatile training and inclusive environment. A Technique Program focuses on building strength, flexibility, coordination, turns, and jumps. Summer programs keep dancers active during school breaks, and an At-Home Program offers online instruction for all ages.
Facilities across the three locations include 12 studios total, designed as dedicated dance spaces with large, bright rooms and professional sprung dance flooring to protect growing bodies and support technique development. The studio's mission centres on three values: Grow, Belong, Achieve. The community, known as CHIPPS Nation, is built on confidence, dedication, accountability, and teamwork both on and off the dance floor.
The studio holds strong credentials in the dance education world. Nancy Chippendale was named 2019 SDA Dance Teacher of the Year. Dancers have earned more than 40 World Dance Championship titles through IDO and Star Dance Alliance National Championship titles every year since 2015. Through the "Dance For Janie" fundraising initiative, CHIPPS has led every studio in the country in fundraising for three years running, raising almost $100,000 combined. The studio also donates $25,000 every few years to the NYCDA Scholarship Foundation. CHIPPS is a proud member of Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators of America, the International Dance Organization, and local merchant associations. Alumni have gone on to professional dance careers with film and television credits, as well as careers in medicine, law, politics, and business.
