REDefined STUDIOS

REDefined STUDIOS is Cincinnati's largest Black-owned dance studio, located at 9529 Pippin Rd. The facility combines dance classes, a full workout gym, personal training, an event center, and competitive youth programs under one roof. The studio is home to the Fiercely Redefined Dance Team (FRDT) and FRDT Cheer, which have earned over 100 first-place trophies across local, regional, and national competitions, earning the studio its reputation as "The Home of Champions."

Kids' dance classes include majorette dance, acrobatics, hip-hop, ballet, and tik hop. Majorette is described as high-energy, synchronized, rhythmic dance drawing from ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop and gymnastics. Acrobatics classes develop strength, coordination and flexibility through age and level-appropriate exercises on the mat, with each child receiving individual instruction and progressing at their own pace. Hip-hop introduces rhythm, musicality, basic footwork, and simple choreography. Ballet emphasizes proper body alignment and the fundamentals of the art, with barre work, across the floor combinations, and center choreography. Tik Hop focuses on learning TikTok dances merged with hip-hop moves. Classes run Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm to 8:30pm, with Saturday morning slots at 10am–11am for ballet and 12pm–1pm for hip-hop, and Monday evenings at 6pm–7pm for tik hop.

For adults, the studio offers fitness classes including Bad Girlz Pilates, Xtreme hip hop, and step classes. The studio also hosts specialised adult parties featuring seduction-focused dance instruction: "Seduction Redefined" classes ($20/person, 2 hours minimum, 15–30 people) teach sexy chair dance and floor moves; bachelorette parties ($25/person, 2.5 hours) include chair dance instruction, games, and personalised playlists; and "Twerk Fixx" classes ($20/person, 2 hours) break down twerk moves step by step. All adult party experiences include drinks and snacks at the studio location.

The facility also operates The Learning Loft, a boutique-style early learning and enrichment program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. The infant program is led by Mrs Love, who has over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for babies. The preschool program is led by Mrs Markesha, founder of Redefined Studios and former lead preschool teacher at the YMCA, with over 15 years of experience. The preschool uses The Creative Curriculum with a focus on early literacy, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness.

The studio rents its space for events: adult birthday parties, private dance classes, banquets, meetings, and trainings. A summer camp offers dance, sports, arts and crafts, field trips, dramatic play, and swimming. Private kids' parties include themed options like pop star parties, slime parties, and fairytale princess parties. REDefined STUDIOS is a participating provider for kids' programs. The studio partners with local and out-of-town instructors and hosts workshops and masterclasses. A scholarship programme covers fitness classes for those with financial need. Studio hours are Monday–Thursday 5pm–9pm and Saturday 8:30am–12pm.

Kids' classes are welcoming to beginners in a supportive and inclusive environment, with individual instruction and progression at each child's own pace. Adult party classes require no dance experience. All students are placed in the correct level of class rather than grouped strictly by age.

The Learning Loft infant program is led by Mrs Love, with over 20 years of experience in infant care. The preschool program is led by Mrs Markesha, founder of Redefined Studios and former lead preschool teacher at the YMCA, with over 15 years of experience working with children.

REDefined STUDIOS welcomes beginners to learn dance in a supportive and inclusive environment; no dance experience is needed for adult party classes.
