Before your first class
The studio teaches beginners of all ages from 18 months upward, with age-appropriate classes and a positive, encouraging approach to technique.

About this studio
Rise Dance Arts & Company is owned and directed by Hydi Diaz, formerly of Limelight Dance Company in Wichita. The studio offers classes across a wide range of dance styles and ages: Me & My Shadow for toddlers as young as 18 months (where a parent joins), Creative Movement for ages 2–3, Pre-Dance Combo for ages 4–5, and then graded ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary and hip hop classes progressing through levels 1–5 for ages 6 and up. There is also Teen Sideline Cheer blending dance team style with cheer motions and jumps.
The RDAC staff brings over 75 combined years of teaching experience across all forms of dance and age groups. Instructors include Chelsea Adams (Studio Owner & RDAC Head Coach), Jamie Oettle, Claira Lackey, Jessica Traffas, Jess Swalley, Audrey Purcell, Camdyn Oettle and Hannah Traffas, each credited as Instructor and/or RDAC Coach.
All dancers enrolled in Fall and Spring sessions perform in the Christmas Showcase and end-of-year recital. The studio also runs Rise Dance Company, its competitive team. Fall 2026 classes begin 9 September. The studio operates a parent portal system for online registration and account management.
