About this studio

S.W.A.G. Studio Marseille is an inclusive urban dance school at 3 Rue Fortia in the Vieux-Port neighbourhood. The studio teaches Afro, Dancehall, Street Jazz, Électro, Waacking, and Krump across 28 classes per week split between their Marseille and Paris locations.

The Marseille space is a 137 m² studio with 90 m² of dance floor, fitted with parquet, large mirrors, an entrance area, meeting room, and changing rooms with showers. The studio operates as both a teaching space and a cultural venue: you can take regular classes or rent the space for rehearsals, productions, photo and video shoots, or events.

S.W.A.G. uses a levelled class system marked with chilli peppers to keep groups at the same stage: one chilli for beginners, two for intermediate dancers. This approach means you train with people at your pace rather than in mixed-ability groups. Advanced 7-year-olds and beginner 13-year-olds can join kids' classes on evaluation. All adults can attend age-appropriate classes.

The studio's philosophy centres on dance as a tool for connection and inclusion. The team recruits international talent and runs programmes for people with disabilities, children in care, and isolated women. They also offer team-building performances and workshops. Workshops happen regularly, and the studio hosts social events throughout the year—they shut down each August for a break.

Classes are 1 hour 30 minutes long. Registration is online only; single-class tickets are non-refundable. You can contact the Marseille team by email or phone.
