About this studio

Savannah Dance Co. was founded in 2020 and has grown into a second home for dancers of every skill level across Chatham County and surrounding areas. The studio was created to offer exceptional dance instruction for students as well as comprehensive training for aspiring professional dancers.

The studio operates from two locations: the main facility at 423 B US-80 in Pooler, and a company annex at 301 US-80 E. The faculty focuses on three core concentrations: technique, performance, and artistry. Classes span multiple styles including tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, acro, and combo. Students train competitively and have earned top honours at regional and national competitions throughout the Southeast.

Logan McElveen, owner and director, has danced since age three and trained at multiple studios before finding her passion under the faculty of Studio South Dance Academy. She began teaching as a high school student and has now been teaching full time for the last five years. She has received several regional and national choreography awards and teaches guest classes and choreography with studios around Georgia. Her favourite styles are contemporary, hip hop, and pop jazz.

Mallory Hubert, studio consultant, is a native of Brunswick, Georgia, who trained at the Eleanor Brooks School of Dance, Southern Strut Dance Center, and Golden Isles Corps de Ballet. During ten years of competitive dancing, she received titles including Miss Dance USA, DTI Dance Ambassador, and the PDTA Tap Scholarship Winner. She was selected for the prestigious Georgia Governor's Honors Program as a dance major. She trained with the Atlanta-based professional contemporary company Project 7 under Cherrise Wakeham, a two-time Capezio A.C.E. Award nominee. Mallory has earned over 20 choreography awards, and her students have been accepted into prestigious programmes at Chapman University, the University of Alabama, Texas Christian University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Georgia (2012).

Madison Lanier, faculty member, is a recent graduate of Richmond Hill High School where she served as student council president all four years. She was a dual enrollment graduate and work study student of the year. She earned Dancer of the Year at SDC in 2022 while training as a senior company member. Madison has curated numerous competitive pieces and is also the social media coordinator and administrative assistant for the studio.

The studio offers opportunities for personal growth through performances and community outreach, with an emphasis on building an atmosphere of strong, confident, and compassionate youth. Small class sizes and quality instruction are core to the studio's approach.
