About this studio

Shuffle Studio Fi is a dance studio in Pasila, Helsinki, open to everyone. They teach adults and children aged 9–14, with a stated mission of helping people take their first step towards wellbeing. The studio describes itself as more than a dance school — as a community.

They offer regular courses across multiple styles. Beginner courses include Shuffle & Shapes, Commercial, Reggaeton, Hip Hop, Heels, DnB Step, and Venyttely (stretching). Courses run in structured blocks — they run August and autumn term schedules, with courses typically lasting four weeks. Intermediate and advanced options are also available; for example, Heels Strip Floorwork at Alkeisjatko (post-beginner) level, and workshops blending styles like Hip Hop and Shuffle together. They also run shorter trial classes (Kokeilutunnit) and mini-courses (Minikurssit), as well as workshops.

The studio operates two mirrored dance spaces: Studio 1 (115 m² mirror space within a 185 m² footprint across three floors) and Studio 2 (90 m² mirror space within a 100 m² footprint on the fourth floor, with lift access). Studio 1 includes two toilets, a shower, a waiting area with fridge, microwave and sofas, and changing rooms for men and women. Studio 2 also has two toilets and a shower, and shares the changing facilities and waiting area with Studio 1. The building houses a separate recording studio on the fifth floor as of August 2025, which can sometimes be audible in Studio 2.

They rent both studios to individuals and instructors. Studio rentals are available to book at least 48 hours in advance, with different pricing for private individuals (who can book up to one month ahead) and instructors or business operators (who can book up to two months ahead). A 10% discount applies to instructors booking regular weekly slots for a full season term (January–May, June–July, or August–December). Studio 1 can also be rented for events and parties. The building has a lift.

The studio offers online classes (Verkko-opetus) and runs youth dance classes (Nuorten tanssitunnit) separate from adult classes. They sell merchandise including organic cotton t-shirts and canvas tote bags. They also offer a friend discount (Kaverialennus).
