About this studio
Studio 210 is led by Taijah Lamar, founder and dance educator with a BA in Dance and a minor in Global Studies from Belhaven University. Taijah's vision centres on equitable dance education for children of all backgrounds. She has earned recognition for coaching award-winning competition teams, leadership at collegiate dance conferences, and nomination for choreographer of the year at Platinum Dance Competition. Her choreography has been performed by YAGP competitors, and she has built strong community ties through outreach programmes in Jackson.
Taijah brings proficiency across ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, modern, and acrobatics. Her mission with Studio 210 is to foster an inclusive space where every child can explore their artistic potential, freely express themselves, and discover their voice through dance.
Classes run across multiple styles and levels. On Mondays you'll find Ballet I & II (4:30–5:30), Jazz I (5:30–6:30), Hip Hop I (6:30–7:30), and Junior Comp. Team (7:30–8:30). Wednesdays offer Mini Comp. Team & Tumble II (4:30–5:30), Tumble I (5:30–6:30), Hip Hop II (6:30–7:30), and Jazz II (7:30–8:30). Fridays feature Adult Tumble and Adult Salsa, both marked as requiring no prior experience. Saturdays are dedicated to younger dancers, with Baby Bop I (9:00–9:40) and Baby Bop II & Adult Ballet (10:00–11:00), with the adult ballet class also open to beginners.
Tuition is structured by weekly hours: $70/month for one class per week, scaling to $270/month for eight classes. The studio is located at 201 E. Pascagoula Street in downtown Jackson, with hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4pm–8pm, and Saturday 9am–11am.

Your first visit
Classes are small, level-specific groups run by an experienced founder-instructor. You'll encounter a mix of ages—toddlers in Baby Bop, children and teens in main classes, and adults in dedicated evening and Saturday slots. The focus is on technique and artistic expression in a welcoming environment.
