Studio Sole Dance opened in 2014 under the direction of Whitney Sasser Pace, with a mission to create a safe, uplifting place where students could express themselves through movement. The studio blends a love for dance with faith-centered values, celebrating the gifts and talents in each dancer. Today it serves 200+ recreational dancers and 45+ competitive dancers across the Southeast.
The studio occupies two fully equipped dance rooms with marley floors, ballet barres, tumble mats, and parent viewing windows. Classes run Monday to Thursday, 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm, with the season beginning in September. The studio offers over 30 classes spanning ages 2 and up, from tiny dancers through advanced performers.
Recreational classes include Tiny Bop (ages 3–4), Tiny Dancer, Baby Hop, Expressions 1 and 2, Movers & Groovers, Mini Hip Hop, Mini Movers, Beginner Tumble, Tumble, Recreation Ballet, Hip Hop, Leaps Turns & Conditioning, Rec Foundations, Dance Team Prep, Progressive Ballet Tech, Modern, Pointe, Christian Contemporary, and D.A.N.C.E. (Different Abilities Nurtured through Creativity and Expression). Classes focus on building coordination, confidence, rhythm, and technique in a supportive environment.
The Collaborates competitive company comprises dancers selected through auditions who train at advanced level and represent the studio at regional competitions and conventions throughout the season. Collaborate dancers follow a rigorous weekly schedule including Mini Collaborate Rehearsal and Ballet, Junior and Collaborate Tap, Collaborate Rehearsal A and B, Collaborate Tech 2 and 3, Collaborate Ballet 1, 2, and 3, and Pointe for approved dancers. Competitors develop routines as solos, duos and trios, and group dances.
The team includes 12 instructors: Whitney Sasser Pace (founder and director), Kayla Allen (hip hop), Danielle Childers (young dancers), Brielle Davis (technique and faith-filled approach), Ashley Dykman (young dancers), Amree Herrmann (competitive and young dancers), Freddye Horton (technique and rhythm), Marina Jernigan (classical ballet technique), Mallory Martin (dance team prep and performance), Morgan Roach (foundational technique), and Cass Simmons (foundational and advanced conditioning). Mary Margaret Craft provides administrative support.
