Stunning Dance Studio

Stunning Dance Studio is located at 687 W 5300 S in Murray, UT and has built a reputation as an award-winning studio with a close-knit dance family environment. The studio won highest point awards at its first in-person competition. They teach tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, lyrical, hip hop, acro, progressing ballet technique, zumba, yoga, and tumbling to children and adults of all ages and abilities.

Director and founder Alicia Manica brings over 22 years of teaching and performing experience. She holds a diploma in Dance Pedagogy and Performance from the Hartford Conservatory (2007) and a BA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah's School of Dance. She also holds an Associates in Science in Physical Therapist Assistant from Berkshire Community College and has been practising as a licensed PTA for 7 years. Alicia's teaching spans ages two to adult and includes acro instruction. Her background in physical therapy with a focus on orthopedics and neurology informs her special interest in teaching the geriatric population and people with neurological disorders. She created and teaches Dance Fusion in the summers for those living with MS and other neurological disorders, and volunteers for the Healing Motion Ballet Barre class for Neurological Disorders at the Skaggs Wellness Center for the University of Utah. She was also a former volunteer teacher for the Dance for Parkinson's program through the University of Utah. Alicia's choreography has won high point awards and first and third overall scores at local in-person and national virtual competitions.

Avi Silva works as a teacher and receptionist at the studio. From Mexico City, she is a dancer, teacher and choreographer specialising in contemporary dance and ballet with a deep passion for Mexican folklore and Latin rhythms. She is a recent graduate from Brigham Young University–Idaho with a degree in Dance focused on choreography and performance, and was a member of Dance Alliance, touring across Idaho and Utah. She has performed at cultural events including the Reno Latin Dance Fest and Escape the Festival.

The studio emphasises correct technique and personal creativity in a nurturing environment. They seek to develop strong bodies and minds and believe that children and adults of all ages and abilities can enjoy dance. The studio runs a shop and offers online registration for classes.

Stunning Dance Studio welcomes dancers of all ages and abilities in a supportive environment focused on solid technique and personal growth. Classes span multiple styles from ballet to hip hop to zumba, taught by experienced instructors including founder Alicia Manica.
