About this studio

Sweet Yield Studio is rooted in the West Village on Film Row in Downtown Oklahoma City. It serves children aged 2–18 and adults through dance, creativity, and movement classes offered day and evening throughout the year, plus summer camp experiences and seasonal workshops.

For the youngest students, Seedlings classes are Grown Up & Me Dance sessions for walking to 3-year-olds, meeting once a week. Kids' studio classes span multiple age groups and levels, with enrolment opening for new seasons after Labor Day. The studio runs two main recitals each year—Winter and Spring—along with seasonal class parties celebrating Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Birthday Party Week.

Adult Community Classes are suited for all levels of experience and include Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, and Jazz. Weekly drop-ins are £17, with package options at £68 for 5 classes or £125 for 10 classes. A 1-month unlimited pass costs £100, and student, public educator, and military discounts are available. The studio also hosts special pop-up events and community socials, such as guest instructor workshops and craft nights.

Founder and Creative Director Hannah Ashford began her career in the arts as a young dance teacher at age thirteen. Born and raised in Wewoka, Oklahoma, she lived seasons in Arkansas, Chicago, and Florence, Italy. After a significant life moment, she pursued a BFA in Graphic Design at Harding University, where she combined her art studies with her work as a movement educator—a seed of an idea dreamed on a Tuscan hillside that became Sweet Yield Studio. Today Hannah resides in Oklahoma City with her husband Brock and their pup Hazel.

The teaching team includes Katie Schultz (Studio Program Coordinator, Studio Instructor), Evelyn Walter (Community Program Coordinator, Instructor), Karlee McBride (Event Coordinator, Studio Instructor), Paige Fischer, Delaney Walker, Hannah Pierce, Carley Schmitt, and Emma Goldberg (all Studio Instructors), plus visiting teachers like Skye Latimer. The studio's approach is rooted in nurturing each individual's intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being through Gather, Cultivate, Sow, Nurture, Grow, Yield, and Harvest.

Sweet Yield also offers Sweet Yield Online, an online education platform and membership program for remote learners, and studio rentals for birthday parties, wedding showers, workshops, and other events.
